Obituary: Ronald D. "Ron" Brown, age 77, of Climax passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born in Morganfield, Kentucky on July 27, 1945, the son of William Henry and Rosaura (Bauzo) Brown. Ron faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He retired in 2007 from Avery Leasing in Marshall after more than 20 years in the trucking/transportation industry.
 
Ron is survived by his loving companion, Lois Osterhouse of Climax; his brother, Wayne (Debbie) Brown of Battle Creek; his nephews, Harold (Pam) Ashley, Jason (Nicole) Ashley; and several great-nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Beatrice Ashley.
 
Ron was a member of the Climax American Legion Post #465. He truly had a "Gift for Gab" and always enjoyed being around people. Ron loved to be outdoors and also enjoyed camping, fishing, and wood carving.
 
A celebration of Ron's life with full military honors will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post #465 and/or the Southwest Michigan Veterans Relief Fund.
