Obituary: Vicki Ann (Hoorn) Christiansen, 65 of Galesburg, passed to her Heavenly home on Wednesday morning, December 13, 2023. She was born in Portage on July 8, 1958, to Richard and Betty (Kiel) Hoorn.

Vicki was a 1976 graduate of Portage Central High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Kary Christiansen, in 1977. In 1989, Kary and Vicki welcomed their son Jacob B. Christiansen.

Vicki attended several local churches, most recently Galesburg United Methodist Church. She loved animals and rescued any and all in need of a caring home.

Vicki put her family and friends first. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and a kind sister, daughter, and friend.

Vicki is survived by her beloved husband Kary; son Jacob; mother Betty; sister Dawn (Mark) Klinkers; brother Steve; brothers-in-law Paul (Cheryl) Havenaar, Bill (Deb) Christiansen, Bob (Sue) Christiansen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Richard and sister Kimberly Havenaar.

Memorial services for Vicki will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes 411 East Centre Ave. Portage, MI 49002 on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm and a memorial service will begin at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Vicki to the Kalamazoo Humane Society
